Holition brings home TWENTY awards at the 2021 MUSE Creative Awards

HOLITION closes off Q1 with record-breaking success, bringing home TWENTY awards at the 2021 MUSE Creative Awards.

(London - April 20, 2021) With over 3942 entries entered from all over the world, HOLITION has been awarded a total of fifteen Platinum, three Gold, and two Silver recognitions at the prestigious 2021 MUSE Creative Awards competition, for its individual collaborations with some of the leading brands within the luxury, retail and beauty industries. This year, Holition’s collaborations with global brands such as Burberry Beauty, Clinique Laboratories, Carolina Herrera, Jo Malone London, as well as renowned artist, Jenny Holzer have been recognised at the 2021 MUSE Awards, one of the leading programmes in honouring creative and design excellence.

This year, Holition’s pioneering innovations within the realm of personalised and experiential brand touchpoints were recognised by the IAA.

The first of a series wins is Burberry Beauty Virtual Studio, the world's first-to-market innovation that features the most advanced virtual beauty experience yet. Harnessing facial tracking technology, augmented reality, and AI to aid in product discovery, recommendations, and application education, the web-based experience was designed to support the brand’s new global direction along with the release of the Burberry Glow Styles palette. 

 

Burberry Virtual Studio was awarded with FIVE PLATINUM RECOGNITIONS under the following categories:

The AR guided tutorials, specifically, is a pioneering innovation for virtual beauty retail experiences, featuring 3D stylised

animations superimposed on the user's face via AR technology to highlight specific points of make-up application.  

 

Together with this uptake in hyper-personalised brand experiences, Holition also saw a growing need to focus its attention on interactive and immersive virtual spaces - all of which have been a critical touchpoint for brands, most especially throughout the pandemic.

 

These forms of experiences enable brands to do digitally what they currently can’t do in the physical world - fusing together the best of both the tech-driven and human experience into a space that can deliver a convenient, shoppable, and seamless digital retail experience.


Holition’s two most recent and notable projects in this space include the Clinique Beauty Lab and Jo Malone Virtual Townhouse, which were each awarded with FIVE PLATINUM AWARDS and FOUR PLATINUM AND ONE GOLD AWARD, respectively:

Exploring how technology can be applied to reimagine the traditional retail experience, each multi-sensory 360 experience has helped provide both Clinique and Jo Malone London with the added benefit of expanding consumers ’ brand experience beyond the confines of a physical store through the presence of virtual spaces that consumers can walk through and explore right at the comfort of their own homes, aiding in product discovery, increasing engagement, and creating a seamless path to purchase all within the same platform.

 

Alongside virtual spaces, as brick-and-mortar retail stores begin to reopen their doors for consumers, Holition has continued its quest to reinvent and elevate the in-store retail experience. 


This year, the MUSE Awards also recognised the brand’s role in pioneering innovations within the Fragrance sector with the launch of Carolina Herrera’s In-Store Fragrance Finder, bagging 1 PLATINUM, 1 GOLD, and 1 SILVER RECOGNITION at this year’s awards programme.

The Fragrance Finder is a next-generation in-store installation, allowing users to explore the DNA of Carolina Herrera's signature fragrances through colour, saturation, preferences and emotion - all represented through striking animations and visuals.

 

Apart from retail innovations within the luxury, beauty, and fashion industries, Holition’s work will not be complete without its contributions to the art sector too. This year, the collaboration with renowned global artist, Jenny Holzer and the University of Chicago entitled ‘You Be My Ally’ was the final collaboration by the agency recognised at this year’s 2021 MUSE Awards. 

 

The YOU BE MY ALLY collaboration with Jenny Holzer, University of Chicago, and Mark Hellar was awarded with 1 GOLD and 1 SILVER RECOGNITION under the following categories:

As a pioneer in harnessing art for social intervention, world-renowned artist Jenny Holzer’s latest exhibition, YOU BE MY ALLY, in collaboration with the University of Chicago, harnesses the power of words and literature to respond to the challenges of participation in the arts during a pandemic, inviting viewers to interact with their surroundings and forge new cultural and architectural meanings from the dichotomy of historic texts and lived urban environments.

 

With all these recognitions combined, Holition closes off Q1 with record-breaking success, bringing home TWENTY awards at the 2021 MUSE Creative Awards.
